Cheltenham boss Martin Allen insists he is already looking forward to rebuilding his squad in the summer - even if he does find himself back in League Two.

The Robins appear destined for relegation this season and Allen has had to slash costs since taking over but is ready for the challenge.

He said: "We will have to see what the budgets are in the summer. I will have to make the best of the budget that I get to find the players to be competitive next season and that's what I will do."

He added: "I have done it in the past and I have worked with a shoestring budget.

"I have had to go to car boot sales to get footballers on free transfers, work with them, building a team spirit and a unit.

"In a bizarre kind of way I am looking forward to it."
