Clarets move into top six

Coca-Cola Championship play-off hopefuls Burnley edged a six-goal thriller 4-2 at Turf Moor to move into the top six.

The Eagles led 2-0 at one stage but the Clarets refused to be beaten. Shefki Kuqi and a Clarke Carlisle own goal had handed the visitors a two-goal cushion.

But Carlisle went some way towards making amends when he headed home just before the break. Graham Alexander then levelled from the penalty spot before Steven Thompson and Jay Rodriguez struck late on to complete a remarkable fightback.
