Coppell calls for Royals resilience

Manager Steve Coppell has warned his Reading side that the only way to arrest their worrying run of results is through hard work.

The Royals have just one win from their last eight games to fall back from leaders Wolves and Coppell knows that the goal of promotion back to the Premier League is in danger of disappearing.

"The solution is based on hard work and working harder than the next man," he said.

"You can look for gimmicks, go out drinking together, go karting, but it all comes down to 3pm on a Saturday.

"We're now seeing a tremendous opportunity slip through our fingers and we've got to do it the hard way now."
