Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night will go down as one of those ‘I remember where I was…’ moments.

Luis Enrique’s side made Champions League history by becoming the first team to overturn a first-leg 4-0 deficit at the Camp Nou - but their progression to the quarter-finals was made all the more remarkable by the fact Edinson Cavani scored an away goal in the second half.

PSG thought they were through - Angel Di Maria even put his finger to his lips and hushed the Barcelona fans when Cavani made it 5-3 to PSG on aggregate in the 62nd minute - but three goals by the hosts in the 88th, 91st and 95th minutes completed the most remarkable comeback in the history of the European Cup.

Neymar made it 4-1 on the night with a majestic free-kick and the Brazilian held his nerve to score from the penalty spot three minutes later.

That made it 5-5 on aggregate. Then, in the closing seconds of the match, up popped Sergi Roberto to score what will be remembered as one of the most incredible goals in Barcelona’s history.

Nobody could believe what they were watching

Luis Enrique ran around the pitch look a man possessed, Lionel Messi celebrated with the fans, while social media exploded.

In terms of pure drama, this match won’t be surpassed for a long, long time.

Video: BT Sport pundits' reaction is amazing

Among those watching the action unfold were BT Sport pundits Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen, along with the channel’s presenter Gary Lineker.

Their reaction was filmed and it makes for absolutely brilliant viewing.

Ferdinand screams “Oh my God!” before all four men burst into celebration.

Owen, a former Real Madrid player, even does a lap around the studio - and who can blame him!

“Mildly embarrassing for four old blokes!” Lineker said afterwards. “I was just texting my sons because they’re all massive Barca fans saying ‘Please!’ - and then it happened! A magical moment.”
