Barcelona did the unthinkable last night - even for them.

After trailing 4-0 from a destructive first-leg in Paris, the Catalan side managed to spank PSG 6-1 in the second leg at the Nou Camp to progress in the Champions League.

If you had seen the first tie between the sides, you would know that Barca were far from their usual bullish selves.

Their pressing game was almost non-existent and none of the fabled MSN - Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar - could have any kind of influence on the game.

That all changed last night.

Neymar grabbed himself two goals - including one special free kick - and dropped the ball in behind the Parisian's defence for the Sergi Roberto winner.

After Edinson Cavani scored a vital away goal for PSG in the 62nd minute, Barca needed an unlikely three goals to secure their passage.

Their Brazilian superstar managed his two goals and vital assist in the final nine minutes of play to prove he truly is a big-time player who delivers when he is needed to the most.

Neymar was certainly good last night, and the former Santos man knows it.

"Congratulations to the whole team because we believed until the end," Neymar told beIN Sports after Barcelona’s 6-1 win.

"This is the best game I’ve ever played.

"If we believe, if we play, it is difficult to stop Barca.

"This can only happen once in a lifetime. Nobody thought we could score six and we did."

The best game he's ever played? Even for a 25-year-old, that's a very big assertion to make, especially when you consider what he has accomplished thus far in his career.

Here's to hoping we see many magical nights with Neymar down the road.
