Arsenal's 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich may have been humiliating, but it wasn't entirely unexpected.

Not many fans would have foreseen Arsene Wenger's men crashing out in such emphatic style, but from the very moment the last-16 draw was announced, it seemed inevitable that the Bavarians would be going through.

Lincoln City pose a very different challenge.

Anything less than a massive win against the minnows, and - well, there will be vociferous Wenger Out protests, but that'll probably happen anyway.

Regardless of their opponents' non-league status, the Gunners need their key players to pull together. Alexis Sanchez, we're looking at you.

It's fair to say Sanchez hasn't exactly helped his manager's cause in recent weeks, reportedly storming out of a training session and laughing on the bench with the score at 5-1 against Bayern.

Something has been amiss with the Chilean's attitude for a while now.

Poor attitude

Back in January, after the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth, he threw his gloves to the floor in a petulant show of frustration.

Then, against Swansea, he reacted furiously to being taken off and replaced with Danny Welbeck, who was in dire need of minutes.

Whatever his goalscoring stats suggest, this hasn't been the easiest season for Sanchez. The former Barcelona man has standards incongruous with how much Arsenal actually win, and he faces uncertainty over his future.

Perhaps the 28-year-old is therefore looking forward to a quiet afternoon against Lincoln.

However, it doesn't sound like he's going to get one, at least not from City defender Bradley Wood.

Imagine Sanchez in non-league...

If ever Wenger wants to give his forward a talking-to, he may have found just the man to do it.

"I'm a human being and he's a human being," Wood told the Daily Mail.

"That's all it is. We're two guys who could be going against each other over 90 or 120 minutes.

"There are many ways to skin a cat and by hook or crook, that's what I'll try to do to him. If he tries to run me in the channels then I'm smashing him!"

Ouch. Let's hope he can fulfil his promise and give Sanchez a proper game, as it should make for a pretty interesting evening at the Emirates.
