No matter how bad things get at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger knows he’ll always be able to count on one man for support.

No, not Sir Chips Keswick. We’re talking, of course, about Ty from ArsenalFanTV.

In case you’re unfamiliar with ArsenalFanTV - where have you been for the past couple of years?! - Ty is firmly in the ‘Wenger-in’ camp and the veteran French coach can do no wrong in his eyes.

Ty, who is always dressed head to toe in Arsenal merchandise, infuriates his fellow supporters with his rosy, glass half-full outlook when it comes to the Gunners.

However, it’s hard to stay mad at the guy for too long. Although he comes across as the ultimate blinkered fan, Ty’s always polite in interviews and is full of respect for Wenger and the Arsenal players.

The only time you’ll see Ty get mad is if Claude starts shouting and swearing at him or somebody nicks his beanie hat.

Or so we thought…

Why Ty is angry with Luke Waterfall

Ty, speaking after Arsenal’s emphatic 5-0 win over non-league Lincoln City on Saturday, tore into the Imps’ captain Luke Waterfall in his post-match ArsenalFanTV interview.

But why was he so annoyed with the 26-year-old defender who scored an own goal during the match?

Arsenal fans will love this. It’s because Waterfall admitted that he hoped Lincoln could pile even more pressure on Wenger’s shoulders by recording a shock victory in their FA Cup quarter-final fixture.

“You never know, it's one of those situations where they want the manager out, so there might be a lot of Arsenal fans going to that game wishing we can get something out of it to see the end of the manager,” Waterfall was quoted as saying by the Mirror earlier this week.

“But we've got to use it to our advantage. I think we'll have the whole country behind us and it's the classic underdog story.

“Arsenal changed their team for the Sutton game, but their manager is under a bit of pressure, so we are expecting him to pick his strongest team.”

This angered Ty, who hit out at Lincoln and Waterfall after the match.

“If Lincoln had beaten us, I would have become a Tottenham fan the next day,” Ty said. “That’s how confident I was. It was never going to happen!

“To make it even better, their captain scored an own goal - GOOD! Because he tried to have a go at our manager.

“Listen, if you want to win that’s fine, but stick to your team.

“He said: ‘Aw, yeah, I want Arsenal fans to turn on their manager’.

“Who the hell are you? Why are you talking about us? You’re Lincoln, you’re nobody, and they’re lucky [to concede] five. 5-0, they should go home happy.”

Robbie, ArsenalFanTV’s presented, then said to Ty: “That captain’s wound you up, ain’t he, because he dissed Wenger.”

“No, no, no,” Ty responded. “He’s wound himself up because he’s scored an own goal. Who looks like the mug? Not me.

“I understand it but don’t try and play mind games with people who are better than you in every single way. We are not some stupid team. We might have lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich - fair enough - but Bayern Munich are on another [level].”
