Cometh the hour, cometh the man. And it was that man yet again.Sergio Ramos has a knack for scoring late headed goals - they’re often winning goals, too - and Real Madrid have reaped the benefits in recent seasons. On Sunday, it was the Spanish centre-back who bailed out Los Blancos yet again.Ramos popped up in the 81st minute, heading home Toni Kroos’s corner, to send the Madrid fans inside the Bernabeu wild. The winning goal against Real Betis ensured that Madrid finished the weekend two points clear of second-placed Barcelona, who slumped to a surprise 2-1 defeat against Deportivo at the Riazor earlier in the day.

Ramos scores another huge goal

Ramos, who also scored in Madrid’s 3-1 win over Napoli in the Champions League last week, was mobbed by his teammates after netting what would prove to be the winner against Betis.

The free-scoring defender then did his phone celebration - he revealed that he does this for his son, who always receives a call from his dad after the match - before pointing kissing his wrist and pointing to the camera and blowing a kiss.

Ramos reveals the meaning behind latest celebration

After the match, Ramos revealed the meaning behind his latest goal celebration via Instagram.

It was a celebration dedicated to his partner, Pilar Rubio.

Posting a video of his celebration, Ramos wrote in the caption: “This goes for you my life, you support me and you always put up with me.”

Ramos also said the same thing in a post-match interview with Movistar.

"I want to dedicate my goal to my wife,” the 30-year-old commented. “She says I've never dedicated one to her."

Sweet.

Ramos's goalscoring stats are absurd

Incredibly, Ramos has now scored 10 goals in all competitions for Madrid this season.

He now boasts a remarkable 82 career goals for club and country, 22 of which have been scored since the 2014 Champions League final.

Nineteen of those 22, meanwhile, have come when Madrid are either losing or drawing.

Ramos truly is worth his weight in gold to Los Blancos.
