Ian Wright is one of British football’s most entertaining pundits because he genuinely loves the game, wears his heart on his sleeve and will always voice his true opinion. The 53-year-old doesn’t sit on the fence and isn’t afraid to disagree with his fellow pundits when it comes to footballing matters. If you don’t believe us, just ask Chris Sutton and Michael Owen.Wright, Sutton and Owen were all great Premier League strikers in their pomp.It was Owen who enjoyed the most illustrious career - he played for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United and won the Ballon d’Or in 2001 - but Wright scored goals for fun with Arsenal while Sutton won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers in 1995.

Wright shuts down Sutton and Owen

Following Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Lincoln City in the FA Cup on Saturday, the three retired strikers all answered viewers’ questions on BT Sport.

And there was one question that created an incredibly awkward moment between the trio.

BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey read out the following viewer question: “Who had the best left foot: Wright, Sutton or Owen.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Wright said: “Me. Don’t even ask them two - they can’t get near to where my left foot was.”

He wasn’t joking, either.

“If Wrighty says that…” Sutton commented.

“Absolutely,” the former Arsenal striker responded. “How many goals did you score with your left foot? How many? I don’t even remember doing it - I don’t even remember what foot I used I was so good.”

Owen, at this point, started laughing in the background - presumably at Wright’s arrogance.

Sutton, meanwhile, held out his hands and made a funny face. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“You can’t get into that party, bro,” Wright added. “No chance! Me, no problem.”

Humphrey then moved things on swiftly to the next question, which was the smart thing to do.

But Wright had to allow Sutton and Owen chance to reply

While Arsenal fans may have enjoyed it, Wright was clearly making a bit of a fool out of himself.

He didn’t even give Sutton or Owen a chance to argue otherwise.

Maybe you did have the best left foot, Ian, but at least give your colleagues a chance to speak!
