As expected, this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW featured plenty of build-up towards WrestleMania 33.
We only have two more episodes of RAW remaining before the big event on April 2, so continuation of storylines was expected and one of the biggest focuses was the development between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.
ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA
Last week, we saw The Deadman Chokeslam The Big Dog but before RAW went live this week, it was finally confirmed by WWE that the two will be meeting at the Grandest Stage of Them All in Orlando.

Fans who tune into programming will know that despite The Phenom’s WrestleMania feuds, he’s not expected to feature weekly and this week, Reigns’ focus, yet again, shifted to Braun Strowman.
Strowman bulldozed through Reigns earlier in the evening after the latter’s confrontation with Shawn Michaels, but the two were at it again once the cameras stopped rolling.
Fans in attendance know by now that the majority of the time, something brilliant is going to happen just for them once RAW – or SmackDown LIVE for that matter – goes off air, and thankfully they are able to capture what’s going on to let the rest of the world know.
Usually, it’s guys like Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar on the red brand, and AJ Styles and John Cena on the blue brand that give fans something to talk about.
This time, though, fans might not be too happy with what went down.
REIGNS - STROWMAN CONFRONTATION
As you’ll be able to see in the tweets below, Reigns came back out to the ring and called out Strowman, and although his WrestleMania 33 plans are a little unclear right now, he’s expected to dominate in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal.
The Monster Among Men obviously accepted the challenge, and came down to the ring to dominate Reigns outside of the ring, before wanting to end the job on a high by utilising the steel steps.
Instead, Reigns countered that inside of the ring and hit two huge Spears on Strowman to send him out of the ring and stood tall.
As you’ll be able to hear – despite the cheers – fans were less than thrilled at the dark segment leaving Strowman looking the weaker man.
The aim is to certainly make Reigns look like a dominant force heading into the biggest test of his career against The Undertaker, but it seems as if Strowman is, unfortunately, looking weaker as he’s now being easily taken out, as opposed to what his character has been built-up as since the brand extension.
While the dark segments are entertaining for everyone, perhaps WWE shouldn’t opt to make Strowman look secondary to any opponent, especially if they have big post-WrestleMania plans for him.
What did you make of WWE making Roman Reigns look stronger than Braun Strowman in the dark segment? Have YOUR say in the comments section below.
