Even Memphis Depay admitted his incredible goal from inside the semi-circle in Lyon’s win over Toulouse on Sunday was the best goal he has ever scored.
The Dutchman left Manchester United fans completely bemused when he channelled his inner-David Beckham in Lyon’s 3-0 win.
L’Equipe calculated that Memphis was exactly 50 yards away when he looped his effort over Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
"It was the goal of my life," the 23-year-old said, per ESPN FC.
"I think it's amazing for me to have scored a goal like that. I had tried it a couple of years ago. I hit the crossbar then, and now I'm lucky it went in."

'Don't think, just shoot'
Memphis had noticed that Lafont had a tendency to creep away from his line and, when he looked up in the 82nd minute, he decided to chance his luck.
"I kept it in the back of my head that he's in front of his goal all the time,” the Netherlands international added.
"We put on pressure, I looked at him, and as soon as we won the ball I knew where he was, so all I had to do was turn and just do it -- don't think, just shoot.
"I didn't even see the ball go in, just everyone go up in the stands and go crazy.”
The goal earned him a pleasant message from Wayne Rooney on Twitter and comparisons to Beckham, a likeness Memphis was quick to play down.
“I’m not David Beckham. I don't compare myself to such a legend,” he said.
He's in high demand on FIFA 17
Memphis’ stock has never been higher, and he’s getting a lot of love in the gaming community, too.
To put that into context, you could buy Memphis’ same card on either the PlayStation or Xbox for under 100,000 coins.
“Already sold him yday for about 260k, about 130k profit I'll gladly take that,” one FIFA player noted on reddit.
From a Man United flop to an extremely coveted player on FIFA 17. Memphis is doing something right in France.
