Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal championship at WrestleMania 33 is one of the most concerned about matches in the recent history of the event because of the participants involved.

The feud between these RAW superstars has been building to this final meeting since Survivor Series last year when The Iconic defeated The Beast to the shock of the fans in attendance in just 86 seconds.

Following his quick victory against Kevin Owens for the Universal title at Fastlane earlier this month as well, and Goldberg is yet to have a match in his current run go beyond a minute and a half.

Yet, it's these short matches that are worrying the WWE universe, as they believe the match between Lesnar and Goldberg won't be good because The Iconic can't put on long matches lasting several minutes due to his fitness not being where it once was.

The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, has stated an intriguing detail about this potential WrestleMania 33 main event which could turn off some WWE fans from watching the match entirely.

According to the Wrestling Observer, via IWNerd's report: "The match between Goldberg and Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33 isn’t going to last very long. It is not likely to be a squash like we have seen Goldberg be involved in, but don’t expect it to go over 5 minutes.

"The idea is that Goldberg has been built up strongly to be defeated by Lesnar on the big stage. Goldberg will retire and Lesnar will be the new WWE Universal Champion after finally beating Goldberg."

This would go against of WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Shawn Michaels who have spoken recently about how long the Universal championship should last, with Ross believing they could easily do 10 minutes, while HBK thinks they could push towards 15-17 minutes.

If the match only last five minutes, though, this will annoy hardcore WWE fans as they will believe the main event spot at WrestleMania and the title should have gone to someone more deserving that has put in the effort over the past year. Goldberg would struggle to fill that quota.

Goldberg and Lesnar's last WrestleMania match at WrestleMania XX lasted just under 14 minutes, but even that had a bad reaction as fans knew both superstars were leaving the company. Their clash at this year's show could be just as bad if it isn't a main event caliber match, so WWE ought to keep Stone Cold on standby once again to save the day if needed.
