Charlton rookie Jonjo Shelvey wants to finish a disappointing season on a high after bagging his first league goal in Saturday's 3-2 win at Southampton.
The Addicks still look doomed to relegation despite picking up only their second away win of the campaign courtesy of goals from Shelvey, Therry Racon and Nicky Bailey.
"It was fantastic to get my first league goal," said the 17-year-old. "It is always nice to get off the mark and hopefully I can chip in with a few more goals now."
He added: "Taking the lead so early got us off to a great start and that was one of our best away performances of the season.
"It has been a long time coming but we are pleased to have finally won on our travels."
