Monday's episode of RAW was highly anticipated for several reasons, both good and bad from the company's point of view.

It was the penultimate episode before WrestleMania 33 and featured a rare live appearance from the legendary Undertaker.

Crowd being silenced

While it will largely be remembered as the night that RAW General Manager Mick Foley was fired and Nia Jax was confirmed for her WrestleMania debut, something far more concerning took place at the Barclays Centre on Monday Night.

All of the headlines ahead of the event surround the recent photo and video leak of private content involved currently absent superstar Paige.

The adult content which not only featured Paige, but also included current superstar Xavier Woods and former superstar Brad Maddox was leaked on the internet last week.

While the leak wasn't directly referenced during the show, the fans in attendance were reluctant to ignore the subject.

Rumours emerged that before the show went on the air, chants of "We want Paige" rang throughout the arena and that the troubled superstar received the loudest cheer during the opening credits.

Following the programs conclusion, a correspondent for RingsideNews claimed that the broadcast which aired was heavily edited to eliminate a lot of crowd noise.

According to the report published late on Monday, chants for Paige and former superstar CM Punk filled the arena throughout the night.

However in the broadcast version of the show, these chants were only heard a handful of times throughout it's three hour runtime.

It is not unheard of for fan noise to be edited out of WWE shows, but with the show also running behind due to the edits being made, it was unlikely that they would be able to get away with this one unnoticed.

Same superstar, same old story

Crowd noise wasn't just edited to eliminate chants for Paige and CM Punk, it was reportedly also changed when Roman Reigns entered the arena.

The report also claims that when Reigns entered the arena, he was met with a chorus of boos from the entire arena.

However on the broadcast, while not all of the crowd reaction was removed, it was certainly subsidised.

Reigns has become quite the polarising figure within WWE and rumours of crowd reactions to his entrance and victorious being altered have surfaced before.

Arguably the most hostile reaction to Reigns came at WrestleMania 32 where he defeated Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Reigns' victory was met with a chorus of boos that fans in attendance once again claimed had been altered.
