With less than two weeks until WrestleMania, another title match was added to the match card on Tuesday's episode of Smackdown.

For the first time since WrestleMania 29, the Intercontinental Championship will be defended in a one on one match on the grandest stage of them all.

Dating back to the Elimination Chamber match in February, Corbin has blamed Ambrose for him not leaving as the WWE Champion that night.

Ambrose was forced to miss Smackdown completely last week following an attack by Corbin which included a forklift and a steel pipe.

So when it came to his return on Tuesday's episode, the Lunatic Fringe decided to incorporate an interesting set up.

Corbin was seeking Ambrose earlier in the show and when he couldn't find him, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan would put him in a one on one match with the Viper, Randy Orton.

Orton would pick up the win over the Lone Wolf and increase his momentum ahead of his WWE Championship match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

For what seemed like a large portion of the match however, it was hard to notice that fans ar ringside were not paying attention to the two brawling superstars.

With almost every set of eyes turned towards the stage but the camera focusing on the ring, fans watching on TV were surely curious about what was happening.

It was all revealed soon however as Ambrose would be revealed on the stage stood atop a forklift and would provide the crucial distraction to Corbin.

Corbin would take his eyes off of the Viper and received an RKO as a result before he was pinned to lose his first encounter with the former World Champion,.

A date with destiny

Ambrose would then make his way down to the ring and would inform Corbin that he plans to take him up on his challenge for WrestleMania.

The two will now battle on the grandest stage of them all - the same stage which saw Corbin win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last year.

Corbin could be set for a big title win at his second ever WrestleMania appearance and the two being brought together makes for a very interesting contest.

The Intercontinental Championship match will be just the fifth match added to WrestleMania from Smackdown on a match card of 12 matches.
