Reds batter Blackburn

Published Add your comment

Fernando Torres scored two exceptional first-half goals to keep Liverpool in the title hunt as they beat Blackburn 4-0.

His first was after only five minutes, a stunning hooked volley past Paul Robinson. The second was a header to make it 13 for the season for the Spaniard.

Blackburn offered little as an attacking force, and defender Daniel Agger was able to fire in the third from 20 yards with seven minutes left, substitute David Ngog heading the fourth with a minute of normal time to go.
