Swindon moved six points above the danger zone after a 3-2 defeat of Brighton, but manager Danny Wilson warned the pressure is not off his side completely.
Adam Virgo put Brighton ahead but they conceded three goals in the first 11 minutes of the second half - from Gordon Greer, Billy Paynter and Simon Cox - before Gary Dicker volleyed home a late consolation.
"The season is not over just because we won this game," said Wilson. "We can throw the good work away if we come unstuck at home to Leyton Orient on Monday."
He added: "But this was a massive game to win. People mentioned to me that Brighton is a bogey ground for us, but I knew we had a great chance of winning it.
Cox and Paynter now share 41 goals between them this season, but Wilson reserved his biggest praise for the defence, saying: "The back four did very well under intense pressure."
