Neymar is becoming increasingly accustomed to being regarded as a future Ballon d'Or winner.

The pressure that comes with such a heavy label can be a burden to some but for Neymar, it is just another target to aspire towards.

Were it not for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's consistently outstanding performances over the last five years, there's a good chance Barcelona's Brazilian forward would already have at least one Ballon d'Or to his name.

And the 25-year-old appears to be peaking at just the right time of the current season too.

Since the middle of February, Neymar has either scored or assisted in all but two matches and was imperative to sparking the Catalan giants' miraculous comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League just a few weeks ago.

Although Barca are still fighting for silverware on three fronts, they have been far from vintage under Luis Enrique this season.

With a new man set to replace Enrique as manager at the end of the campaign, big changes could be afoot at the Camp Nou.

But who does Neymar think would be a good signing for the current La Liga champions?

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the forward revealed that he would like to see his Brazil teammate Philippe Coutinho join him in Spain and thinks the Liverpool star would be a perfect fit amongst Messi, Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta.

"A Premier League player that I would like to have in Barcelona is Coutinho," Neymar said.

"I believe Philippe Coutinho is a player that would totally fit in Barcelona."

Coutinho started the 2016/17 campaign in stunning form and signed a new contract in January that made him the highest paid player in Liverpool's history.

Nevertheless, his performances has stuttered since making his return from injury earlier this year.

The 24-year-old is still considered a huge part of Jurgen Klopp's plans, though, and Neymar's comments will certainly make a few fans feel a bit uncomfortable.

Particularly during the current international break which will see Coutinho link up with Neymar once again.

Both have been named in Brazil coach Tite's starting XI to play Uruguay tonight alongside fellow Anfield favourite Roberto Firmino.

Neymar's Idols

During the same interview, Neymar also revealed his two main idols and of course, Messi had to be one of them.

He added: "My idol since forever is Robinho and he is still playing. But a player I've admired a lot since I came to Barcelona is Messi.

"This is not only because he helped me since I joined but I have always admired what he does on the field - his decisive power and him being a really cold guy when it comes to deciding a game. I admire him a lot."
