We're almost at playoff time. With the end of the regular season in sight, there has been plenty of basketball since the October tipoff.

Players have improved, regressed, shocked and stunned this year, but there is still time to change narratives. NBA 2K's player ratings are pretty symbolic of the current situation in the league, and with over 60 games under the belts of every team, plenty of ratings have shifted since the campaign began.

We're here to tell you the three players who have improved the most on the 2017 iteration of the famous gaming franchise, and which players you absolutely need in your MyTeam. Enjoy.

Joel Embiid (+9)

The Process is being trusted in Philly. But unfortunately for the Sixers, their potential superstar center just can't stay off the treatment table.

Embiid is finished for the season after a knee injury and managed just 31 games. But in those games, his averages of 20.2 points and 7.8 rebounds on 46.6% from the field were Rookie of the Year worthy, and that didn't go unnoticed by 2K.

The big man started the year as a 77 but currently stands at 86. He is the most improved player on the game.

Isaiah Thomas (+7)

The Boston Celtics point guard has reached superstar status and his play has been rewarded with a huge increase in the virtual world.

Isaiah Thomas was already a star as he started the campaign at 85, but having averaged 29 points while shooting 46% and providing six assists per night he is now a 92 and one of the best point guards in the game.

The second-placed Boston Celtics have Isaiah to thank for their rise up the Eastern Conference, and Thomas will need all of that 92 rating if he is to help the team challenge LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs.

Nikola Jokic (+6)

It has been the Nikola Jokic show in Denver this season and the European star is on the cusp of returning the Nuggets to the playoffs.

Since playing in London, the Center has been a man on a mission, clocking up five triple-doubles. Only LeBron James, James Harden and Russell Westbrook have more. He is central to everything Denver do and his offensive ability has moved him alongside Karl-Anthony Towns as the league's best sophomore.

The Joker started the year a 79 and is currently an 85 as 2K rewarded his 16.2 points, 9.4 boards and 4.7 assists with a big increase. It won't be long before Jokic is in the 90s.
