Whatever your opinion of Piers Morgan, the celebrity is doing his very best to raise money and interest for Comic Relief."In support of Red Nose Day, I have begrudgingly agreed to stop tweeting, writing, broadcasting and just generally running off at the mouth for 24 whole hours," he explained earlier in the week."As you can imagine, this doesn’t come naturally and I anticipate some relentless taunting (I’m looking at you, Gary Lineker…)"But Morgan took it one step further when he promised to wear a Spurs shirt if the British public managed to raise £50,000. Of course, Morgan is a big Arsenal fan - something he doesn’t shut up about as he constantly calls for Arsene Wenger’s head."So if you would like to see me suffer a great humiliation for a great cause, sponsor me now," he added. Those celebrities that often engage in Twitter wars with Morgan are obviously very keen for him to be silent and to wear a Spurs shirt. That includes former Spurs striker Lineker, as well as former Spurs chairman Sir Alan Sugar. The pair have been trying to spread the word and Lord Sugar tweeted Spurs striker Harry Kane to get involved.

The Premier League’s top goalscorer replied: “I'll donate to help reach the @comicrelief target. I'll double my contribution if @PiersMorgan kisses the Spurs badge on live TV”.

Morgan took the opportunity to bring up an old picture of the striker wearing an Arsenal shirt - something that Gooners love to remind Spurs fans of every time they sing ‘Harry Kane, he’s one of our own.’

Morgan said: “I'd suggest we raise money for you to wear an Arsenal shirt @HKane - but you've already done it. #HarrysAGooner”.

But Kane had the perfect reply.

He told Morgan that he’s very much a Spurs fan now and pointed to his brilliant record against the Gunners.

He wrote: “So predictable. I think you and everyone else knows where my allegiance lies! My offer for @comicrelief still stands…”

Kane 1-0 Morgan.

And Kane could have the last laugh come the end of the season. His side are on the brink of coming above their north London rivals for the first time in 22 years.

They are currently nine points ahead of them - although they have played an extra game - but host Arsenal on April 30. Kane will be desperate to improve his record against the club he used to support to silence Morgan once and for all.
