Though Georges St-Pierre doesn't have a date set for his return to the octagon, he's still staying insanely fit.

As he awaits a date for a fight against Michael Bisping, the legendary UFC star clearly hasn't missed a day in the gym.

St-Pierre, who has a career record of 25-2, will return to the octagon for a series of four fights. However, the matchup against Bisping will be the first and will likely occur sometime this summer.

St-Pierre's core is ready for UFC action tomorrow, if needed, as he showed off on Instagram on Saturday morning. At 5'10" tall and 170 pounds (give or take), the ring work below is impressive:

For a guy who hasn't fought since Nov. 16, 2013, when he defeated Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 to defend his welterweight title, St-Pierre still looks like a current UFC fighter.

One of the likely reasons for St-Pierre's return is that the UFC 167 victory was controversial and many think Hendricks actually deserved to win the fight. St-Pierre vacated the title and stepped away from the sport less than a month after that battle and hasn't fought since.

He's back now, though, but UFC president Dana White told ESPN that such a long break from the octagon doesn't bode well for the Canadian star:

"He wanted to take a break," White said. "He wanted to take some time off from the sport. He's been talking about coming back for a couple years. Personally, I wasn't a believer, but he and I got together in Las Vegas, had dinner and got a deal done.

"I'm not a big believer in long layoffs. Even Muhammad Ali, after a long layoff, didn't look the same. But [St-Pierre] is always in shape, he takes care of himself physically, and we'll see what happens."

White also called into question GSP's ability to reach the 155-pound limit for a lightweight fight. White said he thinks GSP only wants the Bisping fight because he thinks Bisping is the most vulnerable current title-holder:

"Georges said he can make 155 pounds, but listen, let's be honest here, everybody wants to take a shot at Michael Bisping," White said. "They think he's beatable. Obviously [St-Pierre] is no different."

Whether or not St-Pierre can take down Bisping, who sports a career record of 30-7, remains to be seen, but one thing is certain - GSP's core is ready for a return to the UFC. As long as he stays healthy, the fight against Bisping should happen soon and should be exciting to watch.
