Crystal Palace defender Claude Davis has been found guilty of violent conduct and given a three-match ban by the Football Association over his clash with Cardiff's Roger Johnson.
The on-loan Derby centre-half was accused by Cardiff of elbowing Johnson in the throat in a challenge which led to the Bluebirds defender being taken to hospital.
Referee Russell Booth took no action at the time and Davis denied the subsequent charge but an FA regulatory commission has found the 30-year-old guilty and he will now sit out Palace's last three games of the season.
