The current Monaco side laid down a serious marker for their credentials when they knocked Pep Guardiola's Manchester City out of the Champions League.

One of their most consistent performers has been technically gifted Brazilian Fabinho, who can operate either as a right-back or in defensive midfield.

The 23-year-old has been the subject of interest from many top clubs in recent months, as have many of Monaco's key players who are enjoying a stunning campaign.

The likes of Fabinho, Radamel Falcao, Bernardo Silva, Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko have all flourished for Leonardo Jardim's men, who lead Ligue 1 by three points.

That said, the name on everyone's lips across Europe is Kylian Mbappe, who was handed his France national team debut by Didier Deschamps in a 3-1 win at Luxembourg on Saturday.

Menacing Mbappe

The 18-year-old sensation has scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists in just 32 appearances this season and is well on his way to becoming the next big thing in French football.

Mbappe's outstanding form inevitably drew interest from the Premier League's big hitters, most notably Manchester United, who reportedly saw a whopping €110 million offer rejected.

However, when praising his teenage teammate, Fabinho seemed convinced that the youngster will snub Jose Mourinho's side and the Premier League as a whole in favour of two other clubs.

Fabinho: Mbappe destined for two clubs

On Mbappe, Fabinho said, via Goal: "We know sooner or later he will end up at Real Madrid or Barcelona or another club of that calibre. But so long as he is still with us, we are going to profit from that!

"Mbappe's tremendous. For an 18-year-old, he has such maturity both on and off the pitch. He's playing a decisive role and scoring lots of goals."

The versatile star continued: "For someone his age playing in the level of competitions that we're playing in, that's not easy. And I haven't even mentioned how quick he is."

After the high of making his senior international debut, Mbappe could be in action for his country again as soon as Tuesday, when they play Spain in a friendly match.

Then, the promising forward will turn his attention to Saturday's huge Coupe de la Ligue final between Monaco and defending French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
