It’s safe to say that there are differing opinions on Roman Reigns, there are those that are going to stick by his side no matter what and support him until he calls it a day, and those that will boo him mercilessly - regardless of how his career pans out.

One thing is for sure, though, that push won’t be stopping anytime soon.

REIGNS VS. THE DEADMAN

This time next week we’ll know whether The Big Dog was able to go through with his claims and defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, or whether WWE booked The Deadman to go over, despite being an underdog right now.

The Phenom is just one of many huge opponents Reigns will face, and there are plenty of others out there either fans want to see, or WWE will give us at some point down the line.

While John Cena is a matter of when and not if, some fans also called for a feud with The Rock.

The real-life cousins have appeared on-screen together when The Great One helped Reigns win the Royal Rumble, but even he couldn't help get cheers out of the Philadelphia crowd.

PLANNED FEUD

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had plans for Reigns to feud with The Rock with a match at WrestleMania, but the plans were eventually nixed.

Meltzer revealed the news during the mailbag segment on the Wrestling Observer Radio, and claimed that the main reason the match never came to fruition was because of the injury The Rock sustained during his WrestleMania match with Cena.

WWE reportedly had plans in place to begin shooting the angle, but that injury changed all future plans for The Great One because of his heavy filming schedule, while there is also fear that he may get hurt again.

Meltzer went on to add that The Rock was geared up for the feud and the match, but indicated the match was unlikely to happen anytime soon, and why wouldn’t he be interested? He’d perhaps happily put over a family member who is enduring a tough time with the WWE Universe.

While it would have been an incredible feud, that’s not the only sad part for fans as Ring Side News are claiming that The Rock’s involvement last year – where he defeated Erick Rowan in seven seconds after a lengthy promo – is the most the company can get out of him.

It looks like his feud with Reigns can now only be considered a dream match, despite it being so close at one stage.
