The North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats went through a series of unreal emotions during their Elite Eight matchup. Between the two sides, this was nothing short of a superb game to watch, and it was UNC who wound up getting the better of Kentucky in the end. But, it was far more than just that.At points, the Wildcats seemed likely to run away with this game. At other times, specifically with under a minute left, it looked as though UNC was treading directly toward a Final Four appearance. The Tar Heels were even up 71-64 with 54 seconds left, before Kentucky ferociously rallied back. While an unreal 3-pointer from Malik Monk tied the game, there were nearly 10 seconds remaining for North Carolina to get a shot off, and they did.It was former walk-on Luke Maye who found himself left wide-open, and he stepped up when it mattered most, draining a jumper with 0.3 seconds left on the clock. The shot sent every North Carolina fan, college basketball fan and probably just about every person watching the game into some type of hysterics. So, after such a huge win, you'd imagine that the players got Monday off from classes, right? Well, not Mr. Clutch himself, as Maye was apparently ready to roll for his 8 am class, according to a video from the March Madness Twitter account (courtesy of Twitter user Jack Sewell). To make things even more awesome, Maye got a standing ovation from his class after hitting the big shot.

That's how you cap off an incredible performance in the Elite Eight. And for what it's worth, Maye did far more than just hit the final shot in that game, as he also scored 17 total points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists and notched a steal as well. The man did a little bit of everything for the Tar Heels, and he probably deserved an extra day off from classes.

Hey, who knows, maybe he just couldn't sleep after the amazing game. I know there's a pretty good chance that I wouldn't be able to in that situation. The Tar Heels now head to take on the No. 3 seeded Oregon Ducks (33-5) on April 1 for a chance to head to the championship game. They'd meet the winner of the other Final Four matchup between No. 1 seed Gonzaga and No. 7 seed South Carolina.
