Though it's nearly impossible to stop LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard has proven on several occasions that he has what it takes defensively to limit the Cleveland Cavaliers' superstar. To be fair, most players in the NBA would kill to be able to "struggle" like LeBron, who put up a "disappointing" 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in Cleveland's 103-74 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. However, it's clear that Leonard out-dueled LeBron, as the Spurs star finished the game with 25 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead his team to the home victory. One of the highlights of Leonard's defensive effort was a first-quarter block of a LeBron spin move, as you can see below:

Leonard is a rare mix of athleticism and speed, which gives LeBron problems. Again, it's fair to point out that a near triple-double shouldn't be considered struggling, but LeBron - himself an athletic freak - has set higher standards for himself.

As the Spurs bludgeoned the Cavaliers on Monday night, fans took to Twitter to express their astonishment at how well Leonard continues to play against LeBron:

After the game, James told ESPN.com that it was a bad time for the Cavaliers to meet up with a team like the Spurs. He said coach Gregg Popovich's squad is a terrible matchup for teams that are working their ways through trying times:

"The way we were struggling, this is the last team you want to play," James said after the blowout loss. "A well-oiled machine like this, they exploit everything you're not doing well at this point in the season.

"We're just not playing good basketball right now. We've got to figure it out."

Obviously, LeBron's struggles weren't the only reason the Cavs lost on Monday night. Other than James and Tristan Thompson, who finished with 11 points, no Cleveland players scored more than 10 points.

The normally explosive Kyrie Irving was held to only eight points (on 4-of-13 shooting) in 26 minutes and Kevin Love only scored nine points (on 4-of-12 shooting) in 27 minutes. When LeBron isn't at his other-worldly best and Love and Irving can't score more than 10 points, there's no way the Cavs are going to win.

Add in the fact that the Cleveland bench only scored 24 points and Monday's 103-74 loss becomes even more understandable.

So, while Leonard certainly did his part to help the Spurs earn a big victory, it was an entire team effort that led to the lopsided score.
