Although we’re less than a week away from the WrestleMania 33 pay-per-view, there’s still a strange feeling towards the highly anticipated match between The Undertaker and Roman Reigns.

There have been plenty of rumours over the past weeks, with many claiming that not only will The Big Dog defeat The Deadman in Orlando on April 2, but the potential loss will see The Undertaker retire at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

HEEL TURN

Regardless of that, there’s been a lot of discussion on the roles the duo have played in the feud.

The Phenom is always the face and the fans will always back him, and despite the fans’ negative reaction towards Reigns, he’s still technically a face.

We haven’t seen him undergo a full heel turn like we do with other characters, but he has been showing the heel tendencies with the desire to end The Undertaker’s career, and the boos haven’t gotten to him either.

So, even though fans would prefer a full heel turn for him, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Sports Illustrated caught up with Triple H ahead of WrestleMania, and one of the things they discussed was the demand for Reigns to become a villain.

BIGGEST VILLAIN IN WWE

However, The Game – who prepares to battle Seth Rollins in an unsanctioned match on Sunday – explained that WWE is presenting Reigns in a way to make fans hate him, and revealed that Reigns is actually the biggest heel in the company.

Speaking out of character, he said: “People can look at Roman Reigns and say, ‘The failed attempt that is Roman Reigns,’ but Roman Reigns sells tickets.

“Roman Reigns gets one of the loudest reactions every night, whether that reaction is a boo or whether that reaction is a cheer. The fans who say, ‘I don’t understand why they don’t turn Roman Reigns heel!’ Isn’t he already?

“If you believe what you believe, and you’re saying, ‘How can they not turn him heel? There is 70 percent of the crowd booing him out of the building!’ If that’s your belief, then isn’t he already the biggest heel we have?

“If 70 percent of the crowd is booing him, then he’s a heel. We’re just presenting him to you in a different way that makes you hate him.”

The comments from Triple H are interesting, as nobody from the WWE has openly stated that Reigns – who they plan on making the face of the company – is the biggest heel in the company.

It’s clear that they won’t budge with the way they’re presenting him, and it does blur the lines a little bit but it shows the WWE aren’t affected by the reactions, and maybe Reigns is a bigger heel than we all made him out to be.
