Arsenal fans really didn’t want Alexis Sanchez to represent Chile in their two World Cup qualifiers after he suffered an injury during their 3-1 defeat to West Brom.Sanchez limped off in the second-half of their disappointing loss and manager Arsene Wenger revealed just how serious his injury was after the match."He was injured from the tackle in the first half," Wenger said.“It was a bad tackle. His ankle is in an absolutely terrible state."He should not have played in the second half. He insisted that he went out but you could see he wasn’t right.”Oh well, Arsenal fans must have thought, at least he has two weeks to recover during the international break.Well, not quite.Sanchez played 90 minutes against Argentina in midweek but couldn’t prevent them losing 1-0. The forward was then seen having a bit of a strop at full-time - something we’ve seen all too often at Arsenal this season. His tantrum might have been down to the fact he crashed a free-kick against the bar as he attempted to level the scores against Argentina. However, just a few days later, he made absolutely no mistake from a free-kick against Venezuela.Just five minutes into the match, Sanchez lined up a 25-yard free-kick and smashed it in off the underside of the bar to give his side the lead.

Sanchez's free-kick

Take a look:

Take a bow.

Sanchez's set-up

But Sanchez wasn’t finished there. He helped create Chile’s second goal with a brilliant run, ending with Esteban Paredes doubling the home side’s lead.

Sanchez's elastico

But there was still time for another brilliant piece of skill from the former Barcelona star. Despite tripping over the ball, Sanchez performed an outrageous elastico to beat a defender before he crossed the ball into the box.

Absolutely brilliant.

Twitter reacts to Sanchez's performance

And this is how Twitter reacted to Sanchez’s incredible performance:

At the time of writing, Chile lead Venezuela 3-1 thanks to Sanchez’s strike and a brace from Parades.

Arsenal fans will just be hoping Sanchez remains fit and replicates this irresistable form for the visit of Manchester City on Sunday.
