As the summer transfer window draws nearer each day, one saga which is sure to engulf a significant portion of the window is Arsenal and talismanic forward, Alexis Sanchez.

With his current deal expiring in 2018, an agreement will have to be made this summer and in light of the situation, Arsenal have named their price for the player, a mammoth £50m, according to the Mirror.

The 28-year-old has scored 23 goals and recorded 12 assists in all competitions and has significantly enhanced his reputation as one of the world's finest players during his time in the Premier League.

However, due to his regular tantrums over Arsenal's current plight and wage demands which the club simply will not conform to, it is looking ever more likely he will not be at the Gunners next season, but don't rule him out of remaining in England.

Champions-elect Chelsea have been huge admirers of Sanchez throughout this season and Antonio Conte is said to be interested in making the marquee signing to further bolster his already impressive forward line.

The Blues' top scorer, Diego Costa, has been regularly linked with a move away from the club and if he were to leave, a vacant spot would be made for the Chilean.

Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Pedro Rodriguez, even just saying that trio in the same sentence is mouth-watering and given Chelsea's financial resources and player pulling power, that trident of talent could come to fruition.

Juventus and Paris Sanit-Germain are also said to be the other high-profile suitors for the Chilean's illustrious signature.

Will Sanchez show some loyalty? Or will he follow the same path Robin van Persie, Ashley Cole and Samir Nasri followed and join a Premier League rival? Come the summer, we will find out.
