Huddersfield manager Lee Clark has maintained a strong club tradition by rewarding five academy scholars with their first professional contracts.
Midfielders Lewis Nightingale and Jack Hunt and defenders Spencer Harris, Leigh Franks and Liam Ridehalgh will all join up with Clark's first-team squad next season.
Clark said: "It's important that a club such as Huddersfield Town has its own young players coming through and making the level and grade necessary for the first team."
He added: "We think these young players could have a future at the club. They have played quite a bit of football for the reserves this season and have all shown something at different times during their scholarships. As such, we are moving them into the professional set-up to see how they handle it."
All five youngsters will hope to follow in the footsteps of Andy Booth, Michael Collins, Andy Holdsworth and the Clarke brothers, Nathan and Tom, who all made their first-team breakthrough after starting out in Town's youth set-up.
