When the two words 'complete and 'midfielder' are mentioned in any sentence these days, most Premier League fans immediately skim through their brains and blurt out one name, N'Golo Kante.
The seemingly all-conquering Chelsea star is almost like a perpetual motion machine, constantly working until the opposing team just surrender to his will.
The Frenchman looks set to win back-to-back league titles with different clubs, the first player to do so, but data courtesy of EA SPORTS show that Kante is not the dominant Premier League midfielder.

Oh no, as reported by the Mirror, Tottenham's Mousa Dembele is the winner of the prestigious award as he continues to cement his fearsome reputation in Mauricio Pochettino's engine room.
Sure, Spurs look set to come second once again but at least they can lay claim to having the finest statistical midfielder in the league, silver lining right?
The three categories in which the Belgian international excels are, dribble completion rate, pass completion rate and pass completion rate in the opposing half.
For the first he leads the pack by some distance, completing 61 of his 71 attempted dribbles - not even the mercurial Eden Hazard can match that.
In the case of the second, Dembele has completed a staggering 998 of his 1092 passes, far exceeding Kante who lingers in joint fifth place.
The final factor, and perhaps the most important of the three, the Belgian has completed 92% of his passes in the opposition half, further supporting the claims that he is the catalyst in driving this exciting Spurs team forward.
Yep, pretty impressive stuff from Dembele, however, some would question if he actually is the complete midfielder given some of his other output records.
The 29-year old may be a certified pass-master but he is yet to muster a goal or an assist in Premier League action this season. It may not be his role but surely given his talents he should be contributing more in that sense, food for thought.
