Cities such as Chicago and Philadelphia have a unique reputation about themselves, as the WWE crowds there are always a lively bunch and do their best to make sure they are an integral part of the evening.

Some call it passion, while others would go as far as claiming that they try to ‘hijack’ the show, and that can often be the case when you hear thunderous chants of CM Punk echoing throughout the arena – although, Stephanie McMahon has done a great job lately of shutting down those chants in brutal fashion.

LOUD FANS

It’s not only the CM Punk chants that get them going, but they’re usually some of the loudest when John Cena’s music hits the PA system, while Philadelphia always makes sure Roman Reigns is given anything but a warm reception.

Earlier this week on Monday Night RAW, the company was back in Pennsylvania and the crowd – as expected – were loud throughout the night in the go-home episode of RAW before the Grandest Stage of Them All this Sunday.

Based on a video a fan posted to Instagram, it seems as if WWE decided to have some fun with them in return for their constant attempts to steal the show.

Everyone knows that only the fans at home can hear the commentary team, whether they’re calling the matches or introducing a number of different segments.

During the broadcast on Monday night, they were talking up Kurt Angle being inducted into the Hall of Fame this Friday, and they went on to play his music for all to hear.

'YOU SUCK'

That prompted the fans in attendance to believe that Angle was making a surprise appearance, as they couldn’t hear what the commentary team were talking about, and there was nothing on screen to show them otherwise.

You’ll be able to hear and see that in the Instagram post below, where Angle’s legendary music was playing but there was no sign of him.

The user posted: “When WWE trolled the crowd with Kurt Angle’s music but no Kurt Angle #WWEPhilly #mondaynightraw #trolled.”

The ‘you suck’ chants were ridiculously loud, and you could tell how much they wanted him there by the sound of disappointment at the end of the video.

Sadly, though, it was just a hoax after all as the company tried to give the fans at home a better feel of the situation, and get us prepared for when he hits the stage where he’ll be immortalised forever in the Hall of Fame ceremony.

It might not be too long before he’s on that RAW stage too, as rumours continue to intensify that he could be replacing Mick Foley as the next general manager of the red brand.
