Once upon a time, Frank Bruno was a huge name in British boxing. He was a former WBC heavyweight champion and faced the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis during his distinguished career. In 45 fights, Bruno managed 40 wins and five losses with an impressive knockout ratio of 84.44% and retired after losing to Iron Mike for the second time in 1996.It's been 21 years since he called it a day, but a video courtesy of fellow former world champion and compatriot Ricky Hatton shows a 55-year-old Bruno looking pretty damn good.A severely damaged eye - at the hands of Tyson - is what ultimately forced Bruno's hand when it came to retirement, but he is more than capable of working the pads, even at his age.Hatton is now a trainer and at the Hatton Academy, he worked out with Bruno in the ring as a sort of showcase for the onlooking students.Anthony Joshua is often praised for having the greatest and most intimidating physique in boxing today, but for Bruno to be in the condition that he is - it's pretty remarkable.
Bruno certainly isn't hitting the pads too hard, but both of the former boxing legends have decent enough footwork to suggest they had something back in their prime.
Bruno is undoubtedly one of the greatest heavyweights Britain has produced, but Joshua now has his chance to cement his status as one of the best when he battles Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in front of 90,000 people on April 29.
The IBF heavyweight champ has to be the favourite, but the legendary Ukrainian will be his toughest task yet.
