Bray Wyatt is preparing for one of the biggest matches in his career, set to defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton.

It's been a lead-in that's marinated for months, with the Apex Predator integrating himself among his prey before stunning the wrestling world by turning on him just weeks ahead of WrestleMania 33.

Wyatt and Orton were on a tear together prior to Randy revealing his master plan, and Bray has thoroughly enjoyed what he described as a "thrill ride" before making a big promise about what's to come when they settle the score in Orlando.

"It's beautiful. It's beautiful. And going into the biggest event of the year, me and Randy have so much history together now. and like you said, there is the twists and the turns, and how bad I really just want to hit him," Wyatt said during a WrestleMania conference call, via The Mirror.

"It gives the fans a platform, to really invest in something, and that's a tribute to a lot of people. But it's going to be something special man, that I promise you."

While the WrestleMania main event featuring Goldberg and Brock Lesnar has taken a less-is-more buildup — mainly because both men are team part-time — the WWE has been setting up this massive showdown with a slow burn.

WrestleMania is the payout on the other end for fans and both wrestlers, and with the title on the line and a great angle building up tension, their match could arguably steal the show. Expectations are certainly higher than what most foresee will be the third letdown between Lesnar and Goldberg.

"Me and Randy joined forces, we dominated the WWE and we won Survivor Series, we won the Rumble, we won the tag team titles, and I won the WWE World Championship at the Elimination Chamber," Wyatt said during the call.

"It's been a thrill ride and it's been a great success and here I am, holding this title, champion of the entire world. It's a really cool feeling man. It's a feeling of power. It's something I take very seriously."

Orton turned the tables when he burned the Wyatt family compound to the ground. He took things a step further when he drove a Crusix through the heart and soul of Sister Abigail in the final SmackDown Live until WrestleMania.

What comes next is promised to be special by the champ himself, which should make for a great conclusion to this chapter in their story together
