With WrestleMania 33 now only a few days away, it all but confirms that one popular Monday Night RAW star won’t be in a match at the event.Finn Balor became the first ever Universal Champion at SummerSlam against Seth Rollins, but a cruel injury took his moment away from him.
NO 'MANIA PLANS
Shortly after vacating his championship, Balor went on to rehab his shoulder in the hope of either making it back in time for the Royal Rumble, or at least WrestleMania.

There was no sign of The Demon King at the event in January, and no plans have officially been announced for him at the Grandest Stage of Them All either.
It’s a big shame as one thing fans were really looking forward to when he was drafted to the red brand from NXT was his spectacular entrance at the impressive-looking WrestleMania stage.
However, it’s now clearly too late to throw Balor into any match, and it’s rather strange as he’s ready to compete because he’s been in action at the RAW live events recently, competing opposite the likes of Triple H and Kevin Owens.
That doesn’t mean his presence won’t be felt in Orlando this weekend, though.
There were confirmed rumours that WWE initially had Balor as Rollins’ back-up for Sunday, if The Architect was unable to battle Triple H, but Rollins rushed his own rehab to make sure he wouldn’t miss a second successive WrestleMania because of his knee.
While that effectively rules Balor out, you’d assume WWE would save his return for the RAW after WrestleMania as it always proves to be the best episode of the year.
THE EQUALISER
However, according to rumours from IWNerd, Balor could be at WrestleMania, and he could get physical.
Another big name missing from the event is Samoa Joe, and he isn’t listed as a participant in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal either.
The expectation is that with Rollins vs. The Game being a non-sanctioned match, Samoa Joe will get involved and live up to his destroyer label by assisting the man that brought him to the main roster.
While Mick Foley was discussed as a name that could interfere, the source is claiming that Balor could be used in an equaliser role in this match, to make the save for Rollins and turn his focus to Samoa Joe and Triple H.
This is perhaps why Balor has remained off television as well, as WWE could be planning a big return at the event and although he won’t be in an official match, he’ll still get his cool WrestleMania moment.
Plus, WWE has been teasing something between Balor and The Cerebral Assassin at the live events, while he also has a long history with Joe during their time on NXT, so everything falls into place.
Whether WWE actually goes ahead with it, though, remains to be seen.
