It's not often that you receive a letter from your childhood hero, but Hughie Fury couldn't mask his excitement after opening an envelope sealed by Sir Alex Ferguson.Speaking to BBC 5Live, Fury described pulling out the letter as "the greatest moment ever", and promised to take the advice of the Manchester United legend all the way to New Zealand with him.The 22-year-old travels to Auckland at the beginning of May, when he will step into the ring to fight local golden boy Joseph Parker for the WBO heavyweight title. Both fighters are undefeated, and Fury will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his older cousin Tyson by bringing the WBO belt back to rest on the family mantelpiece. And, while Parker poses the biggest threat to Fury's flawless record so far, he'll travel to the Southern Hemisphere inspired by the words of a man who knows a thing or two about winning."That was the greatest moment ever, to receive that letter through the post", said Fury, whose record stands at 20-0. "Gave me such high hope."I support the team as well, since I was a kid. Man United, your own team where you've been brought up."For such an idol and a great man, to get that letter was unbelievable. You'd never get it again."Sir Alex may be approaching four years in retirement, but clearly hasn't given up passing on his wisdom to professional sportsmen."He wished me all the best and told me not to let the occasion get above me", said Fury, who tweeted a picture of the letter on his Twitter account."It was very inspiring what he had to say".You can see the tweet Fury posted below, and can read exactly what Ferguson told him heading into his big fight.

And Fury will be hoping to draw on that inspiration when he comes face-to-face with Parker on May 6, and if the success of Ferguson's United teams are anything to go by, Manchester may well have a new world heavyweight champion in just over a months time.
