For the neutral fan, the Champions League quarter-final draw couldn't have gone much better.Leicester City were given a dream tie against Atletico Madrid, two European giants in Barcelona and Juventus will face off, while an interesting clash awaits in Borussia Dortmund vs Monaco. However, it's Bayern Munich's two-legged affair with Real Madrid that fans are most looking forward to - and rightly so.Los Blancos ran out 5-0 winners on aggregate the last time the two sides met in the Champions League, with Real winning 4-0 at the Allianz Arena in 2014.Carlo Ancelotti's men will undoubtedly want to exact revenge, but they face a side who have lost just two league games all season and recently recorded a 40-game unbeaten streak. In response to drawing his former employers, Ancelotti expressed confidence that Bayern can progress into the semi-finals."Matches against Real are obviously special for me," he told the Bavarians' official website. "It'll be exciting for me to go back to Madrid."By the quarter-final stage all the teams are well-known, there are no secrets anymore. Real have a fantastic team, fantastic players and a fantastic coach."It'll be a difficult game but we're confident and we have a chance to go through. Little things can be the difference."Ancelotti's confidence took something of a blow this week, though, when it was confirmed Manuel Neuer will be out for two games after a small operation on his foot. The German will miss Saturday's derby against Augsburg and next week's trip to Hoffenheim, and is also a doubt for the Real game.Earlier today, Neuer confirmed his injury on Twitter (see below), saying: "Everything went well. Working hard now to quickly return to the side."

And he received a pretty brilliant response from Toni Kroos, who wished his international teammate well but suggested to take his time, alluding to the fact Bayern face Real in two weeks' time.

He replied: "I hope you get better. But take your time..."

If Neuer needed any extra motivation to make sure he's recovered in time for the trip to the Bernabeu, Kroos has provided it.

As the current holders of the Champions League, Los Blancos are the team to beat and knocking them out at the quarter-final stage would be a huge statement of intent.
