David Haye made the surprise admission yesterday that his highly-anticipated return to boxing could be against UFC's Jimi Manuwa. In response to being called out by the English light heavyweight on March 18, Haye revealed how talks are underway with UFC over a potential fight."David Haye, lets do this," Manuwa said after beating Corey Anderson, to which Haye responded: "Many people want to know the answer to this, and the answer is a resounding yes."I was very impressed with his quick knockout the other night at the O2 Arena and if any of the mixed martial artists can convert to being a successful boxer, he's certainly got the body shape and the style to do so."We've heard from Manuwa's management and the UFC, so it's something that we're looking at at the moment."Obviously we're a little way off from being confirmed but it's a fight that would unify a lot of the UFC and boxing fans and would be a mega event."Haye appears to have switched his attention from a rematch with Tony Bellew to Manuwa, though it remains unlikely a fight will happen. But money talks, and for Manuwa, a boxing match with the Hayemaker makes sense because they're "two of the hardest hitters in London".

The 37-year-old has now made another exciting claim about Haye, who he wants to fight on the same card as none other than Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

According to JOE.co.uk, he added: "Conor wants to fight Mayweather, why not have me against David Haye on the same card?"

Now that's a card we'd like to see: Haye vs Manuwa followed by Mayweather vs McGregor.

While the advantage of being in a boxing ring would favour Haye, no assumptions can be made given what we saw during his fight with Bellew.

What's more is the fact Manuwa has won by KO or TKO in 15 of his 17 UFC victories, though he has lost twice in his last five fights.
