Myles Garrett is projected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft. The standout defensive end from Texas A&M doesn’t have much to prove for NFL scouts from here until April 27, but nonetheless, he stepped on the field during his school’s pro day on Thursday.Despite running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine a month ago, he gave scouts another chance to salivate at his athleticism, which is remarkable for a 270-plus pound lineman. At the Combine, he ran a 4.64-second 40 at 272 pounds. That seemed to catch everyone off-guard, as it was the fifth-fastest time for a man his size in Combine history. Here was that run:

On Thursday, he topped that mark by an impressive margin, as you can see below.

His 4.57 time was a significant improvement. He wasn't messing around, even going shirtless and showing off his impressive physique. After the workout, he explained his reasoning for running the drill over again.

“To improve on what I’ve done,” Garrett told SEC Network. “I am not satisfied with just doing well or [being] just good. I want to be great. That’s up to my standards, not to anyone else’s.”

He seems like a bit of a perfectionist, which NFL teams have probably taken a liking to already.

"I feel like I had done pretty well in my position drills and some other drills that I did today," Garrett told NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock. "I feel like I needed to prove myself in the 40. I felt like I could go faster if I had stretched out a little more, enhance what I did in Florida.”

Posting 30.5 sacks over three seasons with the Aggies, Garrett established himself as one of college football’s top pass rushers and based on his production, skill set and size, he projects to be a difference-maker at the next level.

His 40 time on Thursday did nothing but reaffirm that he’s the clear No. 1 selection in the upcoming draft.

For once, the Cleveland Browns have something to look forward to.

"I gotta win. Winning is just not enough. I have to do my best," Garrett told reporters of the decision to work out. "So, I have to build a new personal record not just set a record for everybody else. It's mine that counts. I can't hold myself to any other standard.”

That mentality will be a welcomed sight for the Browns, who are in need of a franchise-altering talent on their roster.
