Whenever you mention Roman Reigns, one of the first things you’re going to hear is the term ‘heel turn’.

Technically, Reigns is a face on paper but based on the reactions he receives from the majority of the crowd, you’d assume he’s the biggest villain in the company.

HEEL TURN

The reaction he’s received for years now has been ruthless, and that hasn’t changed despite WWE’s best attempts to make him go over with the fans.

However, that negativity could reach new levels on Sunday night if rumours are to believed – as it’s being speculated that The Big Dog could not only defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, but he could retire him in Orlando as well.

Reigns recently appeared on Chris Jericho’s ‘Talk is Jericho’ podcast to discuss a number of subjects, and one of those was the fans wanting him to turn heel.

Reigns hears the calls for a heel turn all too often, and explained to the current United States Champion that if he became a bad guy, he’d just be copying those that have come before him.

UNCHARTERED TERRITORY

According to IWNerd, he said: “The thing is, if I turn heel, what am I?

“Just like everything has been done? Why not just be me? No one has ever been like me. This is unchartered territory, it can be anything that I want it to be, so why put myself on one side of it?

“Why not just dabble, why not have the full range, do whatever I want, be the guy. That’s how I feel. I am the one writing this at this point now. We are in a position, we can do anything that we want, as long as they make noise.

“Have fun man, boo the s**t out of me. If it is making you cooler with this dude and that dude next to you and y’all are having a great night. Please, say all you want.

“I am a grown man, you’re not going to hurt my feelings. My wife is not going to think any differently of me.”

WWE seems to be quite happy with the reaction Reigns is getting, as they’re pleased that he’s getting any reaction and at all, and that’s something Triple H said in a recent interview as well.

Fans claim they want a heel turn, but The Game believes that based on the reaction, he’s already the biggest heel in the company today.

With that sort of attitude, don’t expect Reigns to change his attitude or personality any time soon.
