Just like every year, many of you may have been victims of April Fools' Day on Saturday. However, the prank of the day certainly goes to Toronto Raptors forward Patrick Patterson.

The big man went to extreme lengths to put Raptors youngsters Norman Powell and Fred VanVleet in a 'sticky' situation yesterday.

Patterson covered his teammates' cars in colourful post-it notes, which takes some real dedication and effort.

The reason for choosing Powell and VanVleet specifically was unclear, but he gave a hint on his Snapchat account.

“First and foremost, I want to say I love all my teammates. We’re family, we’re brothers," he wrote.

“But to Fred: Don’t mess with me, dawg. Don’t mess with me. And to Norm: Don’t mess with me, dawg. Don’t mess with Kentucky.”

The pair possibly made fun of Patterson when Kentucky was knocked out of the NCAA tournament by North Carolina and this his was his way of getting revenge.

Thankfully, both Powell and VanVleet took it well.

“Came back to my car from practice, Pat thought it would be funny to put stickers all over my car,” Powell said. “How am I supposed to drive?”

VanVleet added: “That took a lot of effort. That’s impressive.”

One youngster who was smart enough to avoid the prank, however, was Austrian rookie Jakob Poeltl.

“Gotta be smart guys,” he told his fellow youngsters. “Don’t drive to work on April Fool’s Day. Pat will get you. Gotta outsmart him.”
