When SmackDown Live announced that it would be Shane McMahon vs AJ Styles at WrestleMania 33, the majority of the WWE Universe were left feeling rather disheartened. In many peoples' eyes, Styles is one of the best wrestlers, not just in WWE, but in the world, so to see him go up against someone like Shane-O-Mac wasn't exactly thrilling. After the impact he's had on WWE since arriving at the 2016 Royal Rumble, most people would have had Styles in the WWE Championship match along with Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. However, that didn't happen and we were left with Styles vs McMahon. The build up to the match on SmackDown Live was vicious to say the least. In order to get the match, Styles jumped McMahon in the parking lot, before smashing his head through a car window, causing the SmackDown Live commissioner to bleed profusely from the head.Following that collision, it was then McMahon's time to go on the attack as a week later, he put Styles through an announcers table with a flying elbow from the top rope. The stage was set. McMahon vs Styles in Orlando at 'Mania.Although no one really knew how well McMahon would cope against someone like Styles, one thing was for sure, he'd sure as hell give it a good go.Not only that, he'd also be prepared to put his body on the line, and that's exactly what he did.Last year he jumped off the top off hell in a cell against The Undertaker, and this year, he flew across the ring hitting his vintage coast-to-coast with a trashcan resting against Styles' face, but that wasn't all.Moments later, he flew from the top rope as Styles was laying on the announcers table, only to miss The Phenomenal One, who managed to roll out of the way, leaving McMahon crashing through the table.

Nope, he didn't stop there. He then went to the top rope to try and hit a shooting star press, and although he made it look good, he sadly missed Styles, and then got hit by the phenomenal forearm.

Although he may not be the biggest name or the greatest wrestler, there's no denying that Shane McMahon is an entertainer, and he certainly held his own against AJ Styles.

Luckily for everyone, however, it was The Phenomenal One that came out the victor.
