McCarthy wants Premier success

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is refusing to get carried away with the club`s promotion to the Premier League.

Wanderers secured the Championship title with a 1-1 draw at Barnsley last week, but McCarthy knows no one will remember this success if they fail to perform next season.

"While I am in no way disrespecting the achievement, we are always judged on our next game," McCarthy told the club`s official website.

"I love the fact we`ve won it - I`m thrilled for me and for everyone but it`s done.

"Has anyone said to (West Brom manager) Tony Mowbray how well he did last season? He was brilliant and it`s been tough for him this season.

"I bet no one has mentioned it once."
