We all know the stereotype of the NBA fighter.

As ESPN's Jalen Rose often notes, sometimes it's more about looking like you want to fight and be tough than actually getting there.

As Rose often notes, these guys are more known as the "Hold me back!" players.

But what about the real tough guys?

The old-timers will tell you there aren't as many as yesteryear when you had guys like Charles Oakley, Bill Laimbeer, Charles Barkley and Rick Mahorn out there ready to brawl at any time.

Still, many guys want to have that persona that they should not be messed with.

Here's a funny (and not safe for work) video of comedian Hannibal Burress and rapper Vince Staples breaking down some of the NBA's baddest dudes - and maybe some others who want you to think they are bad.

"Some stuff is just energy," Burress said, "and facial expressions."

For The Ringer, the pair broke down the tough guy merits of NBA players Zaza Pachulia, Tony Allen, David West, Patrick Beverly, Russell Westbrook, Manu Ginobili, Matt Barnes, Metta World Peace, Draymond Green and DeMar DeRozan.

Some of the better one-liners:

  • "Zaza, that's not even a baby, that's a noise."
  • "You think (Tony Allen) and Zach Randolph fight for fun?"
  • "Westbrook: Pure passion? Or is it Adderall?"
  • "I feel like somebody from the Spurs could murder somebody and the cops would be like, 'boys being boys.'"
  • "Draymond has to punch somebody. It's just time."

However, the real juicy stuff comes from DeRozan, and it's kind of foreboding.

"You think DeMar is erratic?" Burress asked Staples.

Staples, a rapper who grew up in the Los Angeles area, seems to know something about DeRozan's street cred.

"Oh yeah," Staples said to the comedian. "We'll talk about this later."

"He's from Compton, right?" Burress asked.

Staples just looked straight with a knowing smile on his face: "Respect DeMar DeRozan.

"That's all I'm going to say. I'm just waiting for somebody to try that."

Burress saw that his partner was serious, pointing out that his leg was shaking.

"Oh man, it's going to get crazy," Staples said.

Well, there's another subplot to keep your eyes on as the playoffs near.

When the going gets tough, apparently DeMar DeRozan will be ready to do whatever it takes.

That could be an advantage for the Toronto Raptors in a tough playoff series, although the word "erratic" is not quite one you want labeled on your team's favorite player.

Watch out, LeBron.
