Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson admits his future with the club is "in the balance" but insists he will carry on as normal until his fate is decided.
Richardson's contract expires next month and it remains to be seen whether he will be given the opportunity to lead the side next season. The Spireites were tipped for promotion but for a second season running failed to make the play-offs leading to protests from some supporters.
Richardson told The Star: "I`m going to carry on doing my job, there are things to be done this week. The board will speak about what they want and the decision is in the balance.
"They need to take stock of the frustration and the disappointment that`s been displayed all too easily by our supporters and contrast that with how they think we`ve been running the football club and make the decision from there.
"Will they look at the last two years as an abject failure or as being near misses and ask if we can go one better next time? I feel I've nothing to be ashamed of."
