The WWE Universe has been abuzz ever since the return of the Hardy Boyz at WrestleMania on Sunday night.Their shocking return saw them clinch the RAW Tag Team titles and gave the 75,000 fans in attendance the one wish they have had for several months.

The Broken universe in WWE?

During 2016, Matt Hardy took the wrestling world by storm with his Broken Matt Hardy gimmick and earned a lot of praise for it.

That praise turned into a desire to see the Broken superstar back in the WWE and Sunday night gave the fans hope of that.

However their appearance at WrestleMania and on RAW on Monday night seemed to lack any reference to the Broken gimmick.

Aside from an appearance on RAW Talk after on Monday, the Hardys haven't made a promo since returning, but Hardy took to Twitter to hint that his popular gimmick hasn't followed him to WWE.

Claiming that his homecoming has contained his 'condishtion', it now seems that Hardy will continue with his previous gimmick.

The backstage rumours regarding the gimmick seem to suggest that it hasn't followed the Hardy's to WWE due to outside legal issues.

Hardy is currently involved in a legal battle with former employers TNA over the Broken gimmick as both parties are claiming ownership of it.

TNA claiming that they deserve a percentage of any profit stemming from merchandise sales to do with the gimmick has seemingly put a stop to WWE utilising it.

With no actual time scale to the legal battle over the gimmick, it could appear within the WWE at any time in the future.

The gimmick is clearly a money making one and WWE would be foolish not to utilise it if Hardy should win the battle with TNA.

In what has already been a successful return to the company where they made their name, Matt and Jeff have helped in breathing new life into the RAW tag team division.

Change coming

With the Hardys as the new RAW Tag Team Champions, they are one of two new teams to enter the division.

As seen on RAW on Monday night, former two time NXT Champions the Revival made their debut on the main roster and there could still be more change coming.

As announced on RAW, next week will host a Superstar Shake Up and that could pave the way for even more new faces entering the RAW tag team division.
