Jose Mourinho admitted it will be “very difficult” for Manchester United to finish in the top four after last night’s 1-1 draw at home to Everton.It was the ninth time this season that the Red Devils have left Old Trafford with just a point. They remain fifth in the table, four points behind Manchester City."More difficult, very difficult,” Mourinho said about his team’s top four chances, per the Independent. “It is mathematically possible but depends on our opponents.“It is an amazing run of 20 matches unbeaten but too many draws at home. Because of that we are in the position we are.“We build well but we don't score enough goals, we don't kill off enough opponents and at the end of this season I think we will be punished by that.”The fact that 14th-placed Bournemouth have scored one fewer goal than Man United this season shows just how much they’ve struggled to put the ball in the back of the net.United’s total of 43 goals is 21 fewer than Liverpool. That’s staggering.
United needed a late Zlatan goal
And they were very nearly close to not scoring at all. A last-minute penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimovic ensured a point for the hosts.
The penalty was awarded when Ashley Williams deliberately blocked Luke Shaw’s goal-bound shot with his arm.
Williams clearly thought Shaw’s effort was going in and so he acted, much to the fury of Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku vented to Pogba
The Everton striker, who was seen shushing his teammate in an earlier clash, approached Paul Pogba at full-time to vent his anger about Williams’ costly decision.

Lack of goals
Mourinho questioned the conversion rate of his attackers after Tuesday's match.
“We need to score goals to win matches," he added. "I say there is not one match at home that does not have emotion because we try until the end but we don’t score enough goals.
"How many goals have [Marcus] Rashford, [Jesse] Lingard, [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan, Pogba got? Paul has the record of [hitting] posts.
"How many goals from the attacking players? Not enough. There are some teams where three chances three goals three points.”
