Giggs relishing run-in

Ryan Giggs took one look at Manchester United's exhausting end-of-season run-in and declared: "Bring it on."

With their place in the Champions League final secure, United tackle local rivals Manchester City on Sunday knowing victory will take them to within four points of a Barclays Premier League title hat-trick.

"At this part of the season you want to be involved in big games all the time - and we are," said Giggs.

"We have another one on Sunday against Manchester City. But it is not something we should be complaining about.

"We just have to get ourselves ready and on Sunday we will be."

Giggs' focus means thoughts of a meeting with Barcelona in Rome's Stadio Olimpico on May 27 are now banished to a far corner of his mind as the battle resumes for what would be an 11th Premier League title - and 18th overall - for United.

After the one week wobble, during which the Red Devils were hammered at home by Liverpool and then lost at Fulham, Sir Alex Ferguson's men are back on top form.

Cristiano Ronaldo might be leading the way but the world player of the year is being ably assisted by Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick, while others such as John O'Shea, Park Ji-sung and the unfortunate Darren Fletcher are performing magnificently too.

It is exactly the kind of situation Ferguson craved when he started constructing his present squad four years ago. And Giggs is delighted to be part of it.

"I hope we are hitting form at the right time," said Giggs. "The manager always knew we would need a big squad because of all the games we might have to play. Now he is using it."
