Michael Carrick will celebrate 11 years at Manchester United with a testimonial match at Old Trafford this summer.  The 35-year-old has won it all with the Red Devils. He's got five Premier League medals, won the FA Cup once, and was part of the team that won the Champions League in 2008.He's certainly earned a chance to celebrate being one of the clubs longest serving players and gets his moment on June 4, when Manchester United's '08 XI play against the Michael Carrick All Star XI.  A host of former and current superstars are set to line up on the day.The United '08 team is made up of the likes of goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, defender Gary Neville, midfielder Paul Scholes and Carrick's current teammate, Wayne Rooney. The team is of course managed by Sir Alex Ferguson, who led those players to a Champions League final win in Moscow back in 2008. The Michael Carrick All Star XI boasts more big names including Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and Michael Owen. Their team is managed by Harry Redknapp, who will be very familiar with most of those players. Ahead of the game, Carrick sent a funny tweet to former teammate Rio Ferdinand, who has also been announced to be playing for the United XI.When sharing the news on Twitter, the midfielder wrote: "Played most games in cruise control. Never got his shorts dirty, he didn't need to". He also attached a video to the message and called Ferdinand "the worst loser I've come across".Even after that, Carrick continued to joke with his former teammate and followed the tweet with another one which read:"You got your cigar and slippers ready @rioferdy5 ??"

The pair played together for eight years between 2006 and 2014. They also both represented England on the international stage.

Carrick would probably love to have Ferdinand in his prime playing behind him this season. United are sixth in the league, 18 points behind leaders Chelsea. They're also struggling to push for a top for place and Champions League football.

Their best route into the tournament would now be to win the Europa League. They play Anderlecht over two legs in the quarter-finals and are amongst the favourites to go all the way to the final.

Carrick's tasted success throughout his United career, so he would love to lift another trophy before his testimonial.
