Chances are, if you're reading this you've got your own Premier League fantasy football team, and depending on how seriously you take it you're probably going to go and adjust your team next before the deadline.

The rise in fantasy sports over the recent years has been huge and in some instances they can inspire just as much conversation around the water cooler as the game itself, and now even the players are getting in on it.

Seemingly not content with being able to play as themselves on FIFA, Pro Evo and Football Manager, they're now picking teams comprised of their teammates and opponents.

Fantasy football has even clawed its way onto national television, and this week the official Fantasy Premier League show has released a special interview with a man who is likely to be in a lot of people's teams this season: David Luiz.

The Brazil international made his return to Stamford Bridge last summer having spent two years away at Paris Saint Germain and has slotted back into life in the English top flight as though he'd never been away.

Roundly known as good value for an interview, the show asked the 29-year-old which three of his teammates he would select in his fantasy team.

And while the three names he did choose are worthy of their place in his team, he did leave out one big name that came as a surprise to everyone involved.

He selected midfield engine N'Golo Kante, who Luiz described as a machine, Eden Hazard and himself.

The player he surprisingly left out was striker Diego Costa.

Costa has been in fantastic form for the Blues this season, and his 17 league goals in 26 games have been a big catalyst for their revival under Antonio Conte, but apparently this hasn't been enough for Luiz to select him.

The Blues currently have a seven point lead over second placed Tottenham at the top of the table, and need just six more wins in order to be able to get their hands on the Premier League trophy.
